Marc Jacobs Glistening Illuminator Glow Stick Review

The highlight trend is still going strong and looks like it's here to stay. I have recently found the most amazing travel friendly highlighter.

As I'm sure you've seen all over social media, this highlighter is absolutely stunning and I was lucky enough to receive it from Influenster. It's a cream highlighter that is extremely pigmented and very blendable. There is only one shade available that is supposedly universal. I'm a pretty pale girl and this shows up beautifully on my skin, but I have seen pictures of it looking amazing on dark skin tones.

I'm a bit on the fence about the packaging. I can't decide if it looks sleek or cheap. Essentially it's just in a deodorant container and that doesn't scream "high end" to me. The knob is much better quality than any deodorant I've ever used though, so I guess that's a plus. The biggest issue I have with the packaging is the fact that it's built to be swiped directly onto your cheekbones, which I am not a fan of. I'd like it much better if it was potted.

I'm not a huge fan of applying it on my face directly from the tube. I feel like you just contaminate the entire product by rubbing it all over your face. So I prefer using a brush, sponge, or even your fingers. I find the best way is using a beauty blender so that you don't smudge your foundation.

They're available at Sephora or Marc Jacobs Beauty for $42, which is on the pricey side of highlighters. Honestly though, the amount of product, the pigmentation, and the lasting power makes it worth the high price.
