Target Beauty Box Review - June 2016

Every so often Target releases a beauty box that ranges from $5-10. They've become a lot more frequent lately, releasing about once a month. You're going to want order one as soon as you see it launches because they sell out very quickly!

The Cost: $10

The Products:

Every box comes with an info card and a Target coupon for $3 off beauty purchase of $15 or more. They can also include various coupons for the products included in the box, which is very convenient if you decide you like that
particular product and want the full size.
(Tip: You can save your $3 off coupon and use it on future beauty boxes!)

Lightweight conditioning rinse features a unique blend of fruit extracts to soften and energize hair.

This smells absolutely amazing. It's like the perfect blend of fruit and coconut. It leaves your hair very soft after use. Not to mention this brand is fantastic! There are no sulfates, parabens, and they don't test on animals.

Intensely hydrating formula helps replenish volume to reduce lines and wrinkles for younger-looking skin.

This is a very thick moisturizer so a little bit goes a long way. The first time I used this, I put on way too much and if I rubbed my skin where it was thick, it would flake off and be uncomfortable. If you use a small amount then it feels amazing on the skin. It keeps it soft and smooth all day. Did it reduce lines though? I haven't noticed it doing much other than moisturizing my skin. I don't really have any major lines or wrinkles since I'm only 21 but maybe someone a little older would have more success.

Laneige Water Bank Serum - 0.3 fl oz $5.83

Hydro-ionized mineral water and biogen technology moisturize deep down for supple, silkier skin.

You barely have to use any of it to cover your entire face. It absorbs quickly and easily and keeps your face feeling hydrated all day. If you have dry skin then this is your new best friend!

CoZT Face Natural SPF 40 - 0.35 oz $4.66

Hypoallergenic sun protection with natural mineral complex for non-greasy coverage and soft skin.

I'm really not a huge fan of this product. The only positive points about it is the SPF 40 and it has no scent. The tinted color is a little strange to me but luckily it rubs into the skin and blends in. It's also extremely thick. Every other sunscreen I've used has been pretty thin in consistency but not this product. Since it's so thick, it doesn't really blend evenly. I'll get patches on my face that are much thicker than other areas. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this, it's not worth the steep price.

Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter - 0.33 fl oz $.49

Rich, softening shea butter and aloe vera hold hydration in longer to moisturize dry, delicate skin.

Normally I'm not a huge fan of foil packets but body butter is one of the few things that aren't terrible to receive. They give you enough to really test the product enough to know if you're going to want to purchase more. My biggest problem with body butters is how greasy they make your skin feel. This product does not do that. It makes your skin feel smooth and hydrated. I like it much better than Bath and Body Works body creme.

S.W. Basics Exfoliant - 2 Uses $2.69

Exfoliates for soft, glowing skin with three organic ingredients: oat flour, almond flour, and sea salt.

This is THE most amazing exfoliant. Seriously. It's perfection. It is so gentle, yet it deeply exfoliates. It clears up acne practically overnight and you see immediate results. After using this organic and simple exfoliant, you'll never want to go back to the plastic micro-beads.

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation - 0.06 oz  $1.76

Liquid foundation comes with a cushion for buildable coverage and mess-free application.

The sample I received wasn't in my correct shade. It was quite a bit darker, which is disappointing since I was excited to use this. I had previously gotten a sample of this in an ipsy bag and they gave you three different colors so you were able to get your correct shade. I wish they would have done that in the Target box as well.

Pantene Expert Intense Hydration Shampoo - 3.9 fl oz $2.03

Concentrated hydrating formula gently cleanses and nourishes to instantly quench dry hair.

The smell of this is so wonderful. It smells like a hair salon but better. Honestly this works just as good as any other drugstore shampoo. Nothing really special about it, but it does smell great!

Yes To Cucumbers Face Cleanser Towelettes - 10 Wipes $1.90

Hypoallergenic facial towelettes are made with natural ingredients to cleanse and nourish skin.

These are great facial wipes! They are great for sensitive skin and don't make my eyes burn or my skin dry like a lot of other brands. They take both face and eye make up off, including waterproof!

Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral Duo - 2 Eyeshadows $4.00

Complementary eye shadow shades go on fast and fuss-free with a double-ended sponge applicator.

The color pigmentation is great for drugstore. The colors are beautiful and truly complement each other. It does have a little fall out when applying so just keep that in mind. I tried applying this eyeshadow three different ways. First, I tried with no base underneath and the color lasted for probably about half the day. Second, I tried with a concealer as the base and they lasted all day long! They were beautiful and pigmented. The third way I tried them was with the NYX HD Eyeshadow Primer. It didn't last for one hour. Within thirty minutes it was creased and smudged all over my eyelid. By far the best method is using a concealer as a base.

Elf Tinted Lip Balm - 0.15 oz $2.00

Tinted balm with vitamins A and E, grape seed oil, and Jojoba oil for kissably soft lips.

I did not like this product. At all. First off, the smell. Oh my gosh the smell is absolutely horrible. It literally smells like medicine the doctor would give you for a cold. It's terrible and it tastes as bad as it smells. It doesn't moisturize your lips and the color is very patchy, especially if your lips are chapped. I wouldn't bother wasting your money.

Box Value: $34.97

As you can see Target beauty boxes are definitely worth the price. This was one of the more pricer boxes they offer and you can see why. The box value more than tripled the price you paid, which is pretty great! So if you ever get the opportunity to order your own Target beauty box, DO IT. You won't be disappointed.
