Here are two easy treats to make for your 4th of July celebration that the whole family will love!
Patriotic Popcorn-
What you need:
- 10 Cups of Popped Popcorn
- 3 tbsp. Butter (Sweet Cream, Salted)
- 3 cups Mini Marshmallows
- Red, White, and Blue Regular M&M’
- Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles
Start off with about 10 cups of popped popcorn. I popped mine on the stove top but microwave
popcorn will work just as good! When it's finished popping, add a little salt. Next up is making the marshmallow mixture. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a medium sauce pan, Once the butter is melted, add 3 cups of mini marshmallows. Stir until the marshmallows are melted. Turn off the heat as soon as the last marshmallow has melted. Pour the mixture over the popcorn and mix carefully.
Place the popcorn onto a tray or bowl, whichever you prefer and add the candy! Allow the popcorn to cool. Break into pieces and serve.
What you need:
- 1 box Vanilla Cake Mix
- ½ Cup Butter
- 1 Egg
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract (or Almond Extract)
- 1 Cup Red, White and Blue M&Ms
- Red, White and Blue Sprinkles
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large (microwave safe) bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the vanilla cake mix. Add the beaten egg and extract. Then, add the M&Ms with the sprinkles.
Roll the cookie dough into a small ball. Gently smash with your palm on the baking sheet. Bake them for 8-10 minutes and allow them to finish baking on the baking sheet for another 5-7 minutes after you take them out of the oven. Allow them to cool and then serve and enjoy!
